Theresa previously worked for a UAE based merchant bank, where she was involved in M&A work across a range of industries including logistics, courier, maritime (commercial), maritime (leisure), infrastructure, farming, food security, hotel industry, oil industry, real estate, pharmaceutical, publishing, new media, and insurance. She also has experience in arranging debt facilities with UAE based banks, and has been involved in a large range of corporate secretarial activities. In recent years, Theresa has provided substantial M&A work for small and medium sized businesses; advising inbound clients in relation to establishing a corporate entity in the UAE (identifying correct structure, strategic partners, type of legal entity to be formed); and assisting outbound clients looking to structure and finance real estate transactions in Europe. Recent work has included assisting a western multinational with their distribution and customs tax issues in Dubai, a healthcare joint venture in their UAE due diligence and a high net worth family regarding their real estate interests in the Gulf. Theresa holds a bachelor of law (LLB) from King's College London, and was born and brought up in the United Arab Emirates.
