Sandy is Senior Consultant and business development executive. Sandy was a career officer in the US Navy where he served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, followed by a number of operational flying assignments on aircraft carriers and smaller surface combatants around the world. He specialized in acquisition and operational test and evaluation of complex new aircraft and their related systems. He commanded a Navy helicopter squadron, served as a principal Congressional Legislative director for the Secretary of Defense, and later became a professor of Naval Science at the University of Idaho and Washington State University. He retired as a Captain, USN. Following his Navy career, Sandy was a VP of two Property and Casualty insurance software companies before returning to his roots in the defense industry with a Virginia-based, Defense Contractor. There, as Vice President of Marketing, Training and International Relations, Sandy spent 10 years directing a portfolio of strategic business relationships that included military and commercial training projects for the US Government in the United States as well as for commercial and military sales in 26 countries. Sandy’s Middle East experience includes portfolios in Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt across a broad range of products and services that include construction, energy, and environmental remediation services. Sandy is based in Florida.
