Nabil has over 24 years of international tax experience and practice in Africa, the Middle East and Asia region. His experience includes direct involvement in many countries including, North Africa (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, and Mauritania), GCC countries, Asia (Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India), Sub-Saharan Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Angola, Capo Verde, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Djibouti, Mauritius, Madagascar together with others). He has an extensive in-house tax experience in the Oil & Gas (up and downstream), Telecommunications & ICT and Banking sectors across a range of tax topics including Direct and Indirect taxation (CIT, PIT, VAT, WHT, Customs …), Transfer Pricing and BEPS related matters, Tax Audits resolution, M&A tax due diligences and structuring, Double Taxation Treaties issues, etc.… Nabil started his career with the Tunisian Tax Authority where he was a Senior Counsellor responsible for conducting and supervising tax audits, preparation of tax rulings and drafting of tax guidelines and regulations. Nabil then became tax manager at UBCI Bank Group (BNP Paribas Group) before moving to be responsible for tax at a number of Oil & Gas companies including Royal Dutch Shell, Vivo Energy and Transocean and became tax Director at Etisalat Group Company. He founded and managed United Advisers, a tax consulting business in Tunisia, providing tax advisory services for the North and West Africa region. Nabil has a Finance degree from IHEC Tunis, along with an executive MBA from the Mediterranean School of Business and Advanced Master Degrees in Taxation from Ecole Nationale des Impots (ENI), Clermont-Ferrand, France and Ecole National d'Administration (ENA), Tunis. In addition, he is an accredited Tax Agent in the UAE and Tunisia and member of the International Fiscal Association IFA.
