David has a wealth of experience in doing business in the Middle East, working closely with both private and government entities, serving both inbound western clients and outbound Arabic clients in the region. He worked as a Legal Counsel for the Government of Dubai for seven years, during which time he was involved in projects relating to human and veterinary medicine, agriculture, and luxury food. He now specialises in contract law, company formation and liquidations, merges and acquisitions and general private office management. Recent work includes the sale of an upstream oil and gas consultancy to a major O&G multinational, assisting a world’s leading luxury goods manufacturer on legal issues in the Arabian Gulf, and a labour supply arrangement in Africa. David is fluent in both English and German, has sound conversational Arabic language skills. He is a member of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce, in addition to the Rotary Club of Jumeirah, the Chaine des Rotisseurs and the German Hunting Federation. David has travelled and lectured extensively. He was brought up in Dubai, though returned to his native Germany to study law in Bonn. Having also completed his military service, David then returned to the United Arab Emirates in 2004. David continued his studies gaining a Masters in International Relations.
